Pastor Mark

Pastor Mark Poorman

A 1983 graduate of Maranatha Baptist Bible College, Pastor Poorman became senior pastor of Woodcrest Baptist Church in July of 2002. He served on the pastoral staff for 17 years as the Associate Pastor and was responsible for our outreach program, bus ministry, and myriad of other things. His desire is to bring the message of salvation to those who are lost and in need of a Savior; and for those who are saved, to encourage them in greater service to the Lord. Pastor Poorman and his wife Connie have four children; Mark, Troy, LeAnna, and Katie.

Pastor Bruce Cournoyer

Pastor Bruce Cournoyer

Pastor Cournoyer joined the pastoral staff in May of 1996, taking on the responsibility of directing our teens through their Junior High and High School years. Discipling, teaching, counseling, encouraging, and planning name only a few of the responsibilities Pastor Cournoyer handles prayerfully and skillfully. Bruce graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in 1988, and his energy and love for God are a great asset to our youth. Pastor Cournoyer and his wife Kathy have two children; Brittany and Brett.

Pastor John Weigle

Pastor John Weigle

Pastor John is a 1996 graduate of Bob Jones University. He joined the pastoral staff in November of 2002. Having gained two years experience at his father's church in Indiana and three years as an Assistant Pastor in Virginia, Pastor John came to Woodcrest Baptist Church and Academy to serve in the music and outreach ministries. Pastor John and his wife Sharon have three children; Gina, Jack, and Julia.

Dr. Clarke Poorman

Dr. Clarke Poorman

Dr. Poorman graduated from Bob Jones University and Pillsbury College, and he served as the senior pastor of Woodcrest Baptist Church for over 20 years. Dr. and Mrs. Poorman are currently serving with Amazing Grace Missions, and keep busy travelling to and spreading the Gospel at state fairs all around the United States.
