Ministries of Woodcrest
Woodcrest seeks to serve the Lord, its people, and the community through a variety of ministries, including:
Bus Ministry
Woodcrest Baptist Church loves families! It is our desire to be able to teach parents and children the Word of God. Woodcrest sends out several buses into the communities around Fridley to pick up boys and girls, and moms and dads to bring them to church. At Woodcrest, there is something for each member of the family. This is a free service for those who are in our pick up areas and would like a ride to church. If you need a ride to church, please call us at 763-571-6409.
Deaf Ministry
Each service of the church is interpreted for the deaf and the hard of hearing. There is also a Sunday School class for the deaf every Sunday morning at 9:30. This group meets regulalry for activities, and they have their own church service here at Woodcrest on the third Sunday of every month. Our interpreters are dedicated to helping the deaf to "hear" and understand the truths of God's Word. We also offer an opportunity to learn the Sign Language; see "Woodcrest Baptist Church Sunday Night Adult Ministries" on the "Events" page for details. Also see "Future Activities - Fun and Fellowship" on the Events page for special activities for the deaf.
Music Ministry
The music ministry at Woodcrest exists to honor the Lord and to give an audible expression of our praise. Whether the music is presented on the platform or by the congregation, we seek to sing to please the Lord, not to entertain man. Our music is conservative, traditional music without the sound or style of the world's music. From the solosist to the 30-voice choir, music is ministered in a manner that we trust is pleasing to the listener and honoring to God.
Youth Ministry
Believing that it is our duty and responsibility to instill Biblical principles and precepts into the lives of the next generation, Woodcrest is committed to an active, vibrant youth ministry. Monthly activities, missions trips, Bible camps, Sunday School, youth choir, and the Pro-teens program all combine to develop Godly character in the lives of the youth at Woodcrest. We work with the parents in the importance task of not only setting Christ-honoring standards but teaching the "why" behind them. We highly encourage a continuing education at Bible college. A college trip every fall for the Juniors and Seniors allows them to seek and pray about God's will for their lives. It is our prayer that the young people from Woodcrest will mature into Godly adults who will be a blessing and benefit to the service of God wherever He may lead them. Watch for "Youth Announcements" on the "Events" page.

Ladies Bible Study
A Ladies Bible study is a place to come, share, and learn together. Please join us each Tuesday (or whichever Tuesday you can) resuming October 6, 2009 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. We are a "low key" group with a broad range of attendees, from young moms, through those of us in the middle years, to some dear older women, who have storehouses of wisdom and experiences to share. Come for prayer, fellowship, treats and coffee, but above all, a blessed time studying the Word of God. A nursery is provided. We meet in the Toddler Nursery/K4 classroom.
