WBC Ministries

  • World-Wide Missionary Program

Woodcrest is privileged to share in the financial and prayer support of 123 individuals and families around the world. This is accomplished through our Faith Promise program of missionary giving. Both home missions and foreign missions help Woodcrest to fulfill the Great Commission to evangelize “Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

  • Outreach

Into our own communities, Woodcrest is involved in the ministry of reaching the lost with Gospel. Whether it is letter writing or door-to-door, it is our endeavor to introduce people to Jesus and to a Bible-preaching church.

  • Bus Ministry

Woodcrest Baptist Church loves families! It is our desire to be able to teach parents and children the Word of God. At Woodcrest, there is something for each member of the family. Woodcrest sends out several buses into the communities around Fridley to pick up boys and girls, and moms and dads to bring them to church and Sunday School on Sunday morning.

This is a free service for those who are in our pick up areas and would like a ride to church. If you need a ride to church, please call us at 763-571-6409.

  • Children

Continuing with our belief regarding our duty and responsibility to instill Biblical principles and precepts into the lives of the next generation, Woodcrest offers a number of pre-teen programs: "Master Club" (children 4 yrs old through the 6th grade) meets Sunday nights, "Eager Beavers" (a class for 4 yr olds through 1st grade) meets Wednesday nights, and the "Patch the Pirate Club" (a class for 2nd through 6th grade) meets Wednesday nights.

  • Teens

Believing that it is our duty and responsibility to instill biblical principles and precepts into the lives of the next generation, Woodcrest is committed to an active, vibrant youth ministry. Monthly activities, summer misisons trips, Bible camps, Bible Study Hour (Sunday mornings), and youth group (Wednesday nights) all combine to develop Godly character in the lives of the youth at Woodcrest. We work with the parents in the important task of not only setting Christ-honoring standards but teaching the "why" behind them. We highly encourage a continuing education at Bible college. It is our prayer that the young people from Woodcrest will mature into Godly adults who will be a blessing and benefit to the service of God wherever He may lead them.

  • Adult Opportunities

Ladies Bible Study – meets each Tuesday morning from 9:30 – 11:00, September – May.

Ladies Fellowship – meets several times a year, typically on a Friday evening

Men’s Breakfast – Once a month on a Saturday morning

Young at Heart – for those 65 and older, regular events: every other month Brunch and Bible study, activities, and trips.

Nifty 50/60 – activities and programs for those in this age group.

  • Music

The music ministry at Woodcrest exists to honor the Lord and to give an audible expression of our praise. Whether the music is presented on the platform or by the congregation, we seek to sing to please the Lord, not to entertain man. Our music is conservative, traditional music without the sound or style of the world's music. From the solosist to the 30-voice adult choir (including the youth groups), music is ministered in a manner that we trust is pleasing to the listener and honoring to God.
